How to Transfer Patterns

There are two easy ways to transfer your new pattern to any surface...

The CHALK method

This method is commonly used for medium/dark surfaces,

To transfer your new pattern using the chalk method, please follow these steps:

1.  Using the side of a piece of chalk, rub the entire back of your pattern.

2. Place your pattern onto the surface you would like to transfer to and secure in place with a small piece of tape.

3. Using a pen or pencil, trace the image.  For thick images, trace both the outer and inner edges.  For thin images, trace a single line down the middle.

4. Lift the pattern and your image is now ready to paint.

The CARBON PAPER method

This method is commonly used for light surfaces.

1. Place your image on the surface you would like to transfer your new pattern to and secure in place with a small piece of tape.
